- The first time appointment:
– Examination and assessment of whole body diseases: Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Cardiovascular disease…
– Examination to evaluate the condition of the mouth, general oral diseases accompanied by teeth loss
– Take 3D CT scan evaluates bone density and anatomical structures related to the implant area
– Treatment cavities, infections, gingivitis… before surgery to implant (If the infection is severe, you need to treat and take anti-inflammatory antibiotics before transplanting)
Note: If the factors are favorable, the implant can be performed at this first appointment
- The second time appointment:
– Surgery to Implant: Can be performed at the same appointment with bone graft sinus lift procedure or tooth/root extraction…then implant immediately in one appointment.
– Install a healing/temporary abutment if the bone and initial stability allow
- The 3rd time appointment (After appointment 2 from 2-6 months, depending on initial bone condition and whether sinus lift/bone grafting is required during implantation)
– Take impression/Scan
- The 4th time appointment (After appointment 3 from 2-5 days)
– Install fixed porcelain teeth on the implant
– Check bite/function and completeness.
Attention:
– In cases where the body is healthy, bones and soft tissue are good, 2 appointments can be made for both implant surgery and tooth installation.
– In some cases, bone density is good, soft tissue is strong… if you choose an implant line with good surface treatment and rapid bone integration, you can make 2 appointments within 5-7 days for complete completion.
